You can view the source code that WebBuild Express uses to display the page you are working on in the Design Environment. Click on "Source Code" in the View menu. A window will appear containing the source code:
Note: this is not the HTML source code that will be created when the page is published or when you choose "Page Preview". The code you will see in the "Source Code" window, for example, does not contain any hyperlinks or other features that will be in the finished page.
To view the source code generated by Page or Site Preview, view the page in this mode and choose "View/Source" from the Internet Explorer menu. Similarly, to view the source code for a published page, use Windows Explorer to locate the .htm page (which will probably be in C:\Program Files\WebBuild Express\wwwroot\SiteName\), doubleclick on the file name to open it, and choose "View/Source" once the page appears in Internet Explorer. |
