The "Dashboard" is a way that you can easily add powerful functionality to your WebBuild Express application. It's easy to put cells on the page that perform services for the users of your site, for example: enabling them to search your site for keywords, see the weather, link to search sites, or see a count of page hits.
To add a Dashboard Item to a page, click on the Dashboard Icon ( ) at the right of the Toolbar. You'll see the a screen similar to this one:
The list on the left contains a number of choices. If you click on a choice, you will see a representation of what it will look like on the page in the right panel. The "Hit Counter", for example will provide a count of the number of times users have accessed the page and will display in a format like "Visits 7579368" unless you modify the display parameters.
Select one of the choices. In this example, let's select the second from the bottom, which will provide a graphic bar with weather information for a selected location:
When you click the "OK" button, you'll see a page where you can set parameters for the Dashboard Item:

The State has been changed to "NY", the City to "New_York", and the Width to "567" pixels. The user has clicked on the "Preview" button, and the new appearance of the item is shown at the top of the screen.
When the parameters are set correctly and you are satisfied with the appearance of the Dashboard item, click the "OK" button. The Dashboard item will be created in a new cell on the page, which you can move anywhere you choose. Here is the Dashboard Item created by the above screen:
