If you're like most of us who use WebBuild Express, you'll make an occasional mistake. "Oops, I just deleted a cell that it took a long time to build." "Uh oh! I didn't mean to move all those cells from their prior position." "Darn it! I don't like the way that cell looks after I reformatted it." (We've cleaned the language up slightly from the original).

If you make such a cataclysmic error, you can usually reverse it easily by using the "Undo" function.

Click on "Edit" on the main menu and then on "Undo". Or hold the "Control" key and press "Z":

The design environment should now be restored to its condition prior to your last action.

You can invoke the "Undo" function multiple (up to 50) times to restore pre-existing conditions of your data. In general, however, it is not a good idea to overuse this feature.

Redo

After you have used "Undo" to reverse an action, you can redo it by using the "Redo" feature.

If you used "Undo", for example, to move a cell back to its position before you moved it, you can move it back by using "Redo".

To perform "Redo", click on "Edit" on the main menu, and then on "Redo". Or, holding the Control key down, press the "Y" key.

Tip

In a few cases, you might not see the previous condition after you perform an "Undo". This is because sometimes WebBuild Express performs two or more actions behind the scenes (like saving the page when you change cell formatting). You may need to invoke "Undo" two or more times in such cases to get to the previous condition of your data.

If at first you don't succeed, "Undo" again.
