Managing the Site
Arranging Pages
You can arrange the pages of your WebBuild Express application in any order you choose. Arranging pages enables the automatic menu-building features to create menus that show the intended relationship between pages in your application.

To arrange the pages in your site, click on "File" in the menu bar, and then on "Application Properties". You will see the following screen.

Click on the "Edit Structure" button. You'll see a representation of the pages in your site that looks something like:

This "Tree" diagram enables you to indicate the arrangement of your pages graphically. Let's start by putting the "Products" page under the "Home" page. Left click on the "Products" page and, holding the left mouse button down, drag the page until it overlaps the "Home" page:
When you release the left mouse button, the "Products" page will now appear as a subsidiary of the "Home" page:

In a similar manner, you can move the other pages around until you achieve the desired arrangement:

You may have noticed that the top two nodes of the "Tree" are "No Tree" and "Tree". Pages that appear under the "Tree" node will be included in menus that WebBuild Express automatically builds. Pages under "No Tree" will not. The following screen shows the Tree after we move the "Contact Us" page to the "No Tree" area; this page will no longer be included in menus:

The Default Entry Page

You can also use the Tree to set the "Default Entry Page", which is the page that will load by default when someone visits your site without specifying a particular page. If your domain name, for example, is www.TestDomain.com, then a visitor who types http://www.TestDomain.com will see your Default Entry Page when he/she first gets to your site.

You might, for example, want to take visitors to your site directly to the "Products" or "Special Offers" page and give them links back to the "Home" page. You don't have to set the default page different from the Home page, but it's a feature you can use if you need to.

To select a page as the Default Entry Page (for example, "Our Company"), find it on the tree, click on the page name to select it, and then right-click on it. A dropdown menu will appear like in the example below:
When you click on "Make the Default Page", the page will become the Default Entry Page. The red page icon, which designates the Default Entry Page, will now appear next to the "Our Company" page.

Renaming Pages

You can use the "Tree" to give a page a different name from the one you assigned when you created the page.

On the Tree screen, click on the page that you want to rename. Then right-click on it. On the dropdown menu select "Rename". The "New Page Name" box will then appear. Type the new page name into the input area on the box, and then click "OK". The page is now renamed.
