Managing the Site
Arranging Pages
There is a built-in, two-layer hierarchy for sites created with WebBuild Express. The "Default" page, and all other pages.

The "Default" page is the page that first appears when a user visits your site. To accommodate different Web servers, WebBuild Express creates duplicate versions of this page and gives them the following names:

          Default.htm
          index.htm
          index.html
          Home.htm

If you need your site to have a more complex hierarchy, you can easily do it by the use of menus. Let's take as an example a small company, the ABC Corp. Here is a diagram of its site:

You can create a menu for this site that might look something like this:

Changing the Default Page

You can easily change the Default Page for your site. Use the "
Go to Page" feature to view the page that you want to make the Default page.

Once the page appears in the WebBuild Express design window, choose "Pages" from the "Edit" menu, and then "Make Default Page" on the dropdown menu:

You will see a message confirming that the page you are viewing is now the "Default" page:

When the site is published, viewers will initially see this page when they type in its Web address.
Renaming Pages

There is no direct way to rename a page in WebBuild Express. If you need, for any reason, to change the name of a page, you can do the following:

(1) Create a new page with the name you want using the old page as a

template.

(2)
Delete the old page.
