On the south wall of the greenhouse is a small tree that is leafless and dead, courtesy of a hurricane in 2004. It is a good place to hang flowering orchids for display.
Guzmania hybrid
To the right of the cork tree is a lattice wall for mounting specimens.
Across the room from the cork tree is a waterfall exhibit.
Neoregelia hybrid
The Fort Lauderdale Orchid Society donated this waterfall display to honor Ken and Dottie Kone in appreciation for their lifetime of contributions to the orchid community.
At the base of the cork tree and along the lattice wall to the right of the cork tree are several tropical foliage plants and orchids, Some are shown below.
