Welcome to a “virtual” tour of the American Orchid Society Orchid greenhouse. Orchids are ever-changing, as is the AOS’s beautiful botanical garden and display greenhouse. In the AOS greenhouses, orchids not in flower are nurtured in the production greenhouse, off limits to visitors. Those in bloom or set to bloom are expertly arranged in alluring displays by Nick Ewy, AOS’s Director of Botanical Garden and Greenhouses, and his staff and volunteers, throughout the display (4,000 sq ft) greenhouse. Orchids and flora are intertwined amongst attractive displays and water features in this special area of the botanical garden. In this website, featured orchids are listed by the month of expected bloom so that, if you are planning a visit to the greenhouse, you can get an idea of what may be in flower at that time.
