Periodically, we release updated versions of WebBuild Express (sometimes known as "Service Packs") which are designed to alleviate problems and increase program functionality and reliability. You should always install the most recent version.

The most recent version is 6.2.70, released on August 19, 2011.

This version incorporates all previous versions and includes functionality to enable WebBuild Express to run effectively under Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7. If you have Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7 or are planning to upgrade to them, you
must install this version for WebBuild Express to perform properly. (For more information on running WebBuild Express in Windows Vista or Windows 7, click here).

In addition, Version 6.2.70 includes improvements requested by our customers to make the FTP process more efficient. You can now choose to send a selected set of files to your Web server, rather than all files, as in previous versions of WebBuild Express

To install this version, follow these steps:

Very Important. Make a backup copy of your work by choosing “Export” from the file menu and then selecting all of your sites/applications from the list. If possible, store this export file on a CD-ROM or other location external to the computer. (You probably won’t need this backup copy, but it never hurts to backup).

Download the version from the following location:
http://www.WebBuild.net/other/WBinstall6-2-70.exe.

Uninstall WebBuild Express from the Control Panel: Add/Remove Programs.

Run the WBinstall6-2-70.exe file that you downloaded in Step 2 to install the updated version of WebBuild Express.

Run WebBuild Express. On the “Splash Screen” that appears when the program runs you should see “Version 6.2.70”. This confirms that you have the correct version. Check that your applications and sites and all images and pages are there. (They should be). If not, choose “Import” from the “File” menu and restore your data from the Export File you made in step 1.

Click the "Help" option on the main menu in WebBuild Express.

On the dropdown menu, choose "About". You will see the following screen:

The last digit of the Version number designates the Service Pack. (In the above example, Service Pack #7 is installed).
