The World War II Memorial will be the first national memorial dedicated to all of those who served in the armed forces of the United States during World War II. The memorial will also honor the commitment of our entire nation during this incredible chapter in world history, the single largest event in human history, fought across six of the world's seven continents and all of its oceans, killing over fifty million human beings and devastating the heartland of most civilizations.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Before Taps Sounded will be donated to the construction of this monument memorializing the spirit, sacrifice and commitment of the American people that made winning World War II possible. | | |
