Robert Baumer grew up in rural Connecticut and has always been an avid student of history. After graduating from the University of Illinois, he spent twenty-five years in the computer industry. He began writing newspaper and magazine articles in the early 1990's that related to military history, the 50th Anniversary of D-Day and other topics.
